Made to stick

Finished the book Presentation Zen (see below) some time ago but still I was puzzled by one thing. That is, even we can create the most eye-catching slides with today’s advance graphic software, but how can we make the message we send across stick in the audiences’ minds ? It’s the reason we do the [...]

From bubbles to reflections

It’s an old news, but it never stops amazed me that we still find new companies / web sites pop up everyday with the same style of logos. What is the style of the current generation of companies’ logos ?

Bright colors
Gel effect (if it makes your logo more tasty)

A village far far away …

It took me two hours to travel to this “village” and I expected a journey of peacefulness. Turned out that village was packed with thousands of tourists and everywhere is coffee shops, convenient stores, bistros and souvenir shops … As usual, I could only find the serenity through the lens of my camera.

What is a journey ?
A [...]

Neuroanatomist Jill Bolte Taylor had an opportunity few brain scientists would wish for: One morning, she realized she was having a massive [...]

Movie and songs of the week

It’s hard to resist another run of the Notting Hill in cable TV. I have watched it countless time because of two things - the travel book store (you know, it’s my dream) and the wicked soundtrack. There are two songs in the movie I like very much - Ain’t no sunshine and She … [...]

Kaohsiung, ahoy !!

Kaohsiung is the second largest city and the busiest port in Taiwan. It’s not a modern city but the people there are friendly, food is great and the younger generation is full of energy.
